Providence Farm depends on an amazing bounty of volunteers who dedicate thousands of hours each year. The Farm could not do it without you!

We are always looking for volunteers to help at the Farm, both with programming, agriculture, administration and site upkeep.
There are always a variety of positions and projects as well as the possibility of creating a position to match your skills.

If you're interested in volunteering at Providence, we'll invite you in, share a bit about the Farm, and get to know your skills and interests with hopes of finding a complementary position. 

Here's our the present list of positions: 

Program Area Day(s), Time & Duration Task Description Skill Sets Requested
Labyrinth - via Cindy As able. Upkeep of the Providence Labyrinth, including weeding and general maintenance Basic gardening skills, and open to working independently with tools and guidance provided.
Administration - via Tracy 2 - 3 hours each week Support the Executive Director with various organisational and administrative task.  Able to work independently on medium level administrative tasks. 
Kitchen - via Peter Open, ongoing Baker. Leading the creation of baked goods including loaves, cookies & specialty (low sugar, gluten free) baking.  Experience and/or training in commercial baking.
Kitchen - via Peter One day each week, preferably Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.  Helping to clean & organize the kitchen after lunch Experience in restaurant dish washing and any food safe training. 
Farm Fashions - via Sharon Tuesdays, 9am to 12:30pm Working in Farm Fashions store with participants. Selling & hanging clothes & engaging in appropriate conversation.  Cash register skills, clothing quality and value recognition, physically fit, patient, respectful, able to work with people of all abilities and diversities. 
Farm Fashions - via Sharon Wednesday, 9am to 12:30pm Working in Farm Fashions store with participants. Selling & hanging clothes & engaging in appropriate conversation.  Cash register skills, clothing quality and value recognition, physically fit, patient, respectful, able to work with people of all abilities and diversities. 
St. Ann's Garden Club - via Liz One day each week for 2 to 4 hours Working independently trimming, weeding, planting and pruning with the direction of the SAGC coordinator. Basic gardening skills, and open to working independently with tools and guidance provided.
Agriculture Open, ongoing Participating in a variety of tasks to help propagate, maintain and harvest the Farm edibles. Tasks may include weeding, planting, harvesting & helping with the laying hens.  Basic gardening skills, and open to working independently with tools and guidance provided.
Nature Based Therapy - via Cindy Tuesday mornings Assisting in the greenhouse with watering, planting & harvesting.  Basic gardening skills, and open to working independently with tools and guidance provided.
Onsite Handyperson Open, ongoing Helping to support the onsite upkeep of buildings and landscapes. Skills in maintenance and repair.
Events - via Carolyn Event Volunteers to call upon as needed Looking for individuals who we can contact regarding support for various fundraising events.  Eager to help out as they are able.
