Providence Farm depends on an army of volunteers who dedicate thousands of hours each year. The Farm could not do it without them!
Kitchen Garden Volunteer
Providence Farm is seeking a garden volunteer who is interested in contributing to a joint project of the Segues and Greenways Programs to grow food for the Providence Farm kitchen. This initiative recognizes and nurtures our firmly held belief in the healing and therapeutic benefits of gardening/farming. For our participants to be able to play an active role in the whole process (from seed to mouth!) is hugely beneficial and rewarding.
You will work both independently and alongside staff and participants to seed, transplant, weed, water and harvest produce. Preference will be given to experienced gardeners but novice gardeners are welcome to apply. We are asking for a commitment to any morning per week. Even one or two hours per week would be great.
Please complete and return the Volunteer Interest Form (link below) and indicate you would like to volunteer for the Kitchen Garden Project.
Handyman Site Volunteer
Providence Farm is seeking a volunteer who is interested in helping to maintain the infrastructure at the farm. Our buildings which range from nearly new to almost 100 years old provide endless opportunity for an experienced handyman or trades person. And then there is the plumbing and electrical...!
Specifically we are seeking a handyman with carpentry/construction, plumbing, or electrical skills. We are hoping for someone who can commit 2-3 days (or half days) per week but whatever time you can offer will be appreciated.
Please complete and return the Volunteer Interest Form (link below) and indicate you would like to volunteer as a Handyman Site Volunteer.
Ongoing volunteer opportunities are always changing, please don’t hesitate to send us your interest request.
